When a bride tells us to "just do our thing," we are MORE than happy to oblige. And to say working with Sandrine & her best friend/planner Joy was a pleasure, is an understatement. We had endless inspiration from the bride & groom's West Indian backgrounds & their beautiful, historic venue in Long Island City, NY. From the vibrant colors, modern geo's & of course The Metropolitan Building's eclectic vintage vibe, it is definitely one unforgettable wedding for the Buds Team.
Check out MunaLuchi Bride for their full post on Sandrine & Eric's Urban Chic wedding along with credit to all of the wonderful vendors we worked with.
We had the pleasure of teaching bride-to-be Sarah, & her 7 Besties how to arrange flowers for her upcoming October wedding @ Windrift Hall. Sarah hired a local farm to grown her own Eucalyptus on the Catskills property & wanted to learn how to create her own garden-inspired bouquet, table arrangements & boutonnieres.
Spending a Sunday afternoon sipping Lavender-infused cocktails by Elise Taff, surrounded by trippy artwork at Unruly Collective & a room filled with so much love for Sarah - doesn't get much better if you ask us.

When we were approached by Kendra from Bossladies Magazine for the launch party of their upcoming November 2017 issue - we of course said "Hell Yeah!" Bossladies Magazine is the modern journalistic F.U.B.U. - "For Us and By Us" (thanks Daymond) - a magazine for creative & entrepreneurial women. We especially love that Issue 03 is a collection of 14 profiles on some of New York's most inspiring boss ladies and their businesses.
As self-proclaimed boss ladies, Buds of Brooklyn loves any excuse to support & celebrate fellow women entrepreneurs. Check out their magazine for purchase here. And some shots by Jennifer Young from the celebration @ tenoverten’s Financial District Salon.
We all need to feel some community & Leandra Medine (the genius behind Man Repeller) made it her mission to create a little oasis in this big, bad city. The pop-up shop @ Canal Street Market open 7 days a week, provides a colorful space to kick back, relax, re-center & most likely get inspired. We were excited to be apart of such a movement providing floral arrangements in conjunction with Bloomerent.
We encourage all of our buds to wander into the Canal Street Market next time they are downtown to enjoy the MR Bazaar + a ton of other great artists & retailers. It's important to stop & smell (our) roses!
Vintage vibes meets the future @ the GQ sponsored Montblanc product launch for Summit - "a smartwatch for those always on the ascent." We had a great time playing off the masculine & heritage feeling with a color palette of Sage, Tobacco, Dusty Violet & Creams. The Terrace @ Gramercy Park Hotel ain't too shabby either.
